2 medium onions sliced and broken into rings
1/2 lb. mushrooms, sauteed
2 green peppers, cut in pieces
2/3 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup salad oil
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. onion salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. tarragon
2 cloves crushed garlic
Tomatoes (grape or cherry cut in half)

Directions
Broil or grill the meat to medium. Cool, cut meat into bite-size pieces and place in a bowl. Add mushrooms, tomatoes and green peppers. Combine vinegar, oil, and vegetables. Cover and refrigerate 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Can add tomato pieces just before serving (optional).

What is salad oil? Salad oil is a catch-all name for any edible vegetable oil that might be used in a salad dressing. So non-specific recipes lets you use the equally non-specific vegetable oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, canola oil, peanut oil, a light olive oil, or any other fairly bland vegetable oil you can find.
