Ingredients
Brats, enough to feed your crew
Beer, enough to cover brats
Butter (be generous but don't overdue it as the brats will give off some fat)
Onions (2 cups for 8 brats)
Kraut
You can also add garlic, cooked bacon bits and whatever seasonings you like.

Directions
Preheat the grill. Place the beer, onions, kraut and butter in a foilpan, over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Add the brats and cook for 20 minutes. Remove the brats, and place on the grill and cook until nicely browned. Use a fork to place some of the kraut and onions on the buns before adding a delicious brat. Add a little Silver Springs Beer' n Brat' Mustard (made in Wisconsin) and you're in for a real Wisconsin treat. If you like cooked cabbage substitute shredded cabbage for the kraut. Cook until the cabbage is tender.
